Programs and Projects

Since the Low-Level Radioactive Waste Management Office (LLRWMO)  was established in 1982 it has carried out programs and projects across Canada in keeping with its mandate.

LLRWMO programs carry out the responsibilities of the federal government to resolve historic waste problems.

Projects to manage historic low-level radioactive waste have been conducted at sites in British Columbia, Alberta, Northwest Territories, Ontario and other locations. Pages in the Historic LLRW section deal with these projects.
